While working at KAPWA Studioworks, I was lucky enough to be part of a team that helped develop the Nokia Health Mate app. The Nokia Health Mate app worked in tandem with a set of peripheral devices that recorded biometric data. Nokia’s vision was to translate typically stark data-sets and scientific information into a more personal, gamified and story-driven educational experience.
Using a combination of motion graphics and traditional 2D animation, we created an extensive library illustrations and animated assets which were used in-app, and throughout the greater Digital Health platform.
These videos are reels designed to promote three programs (Better Body, Sleep Smarter and Pregnancy Tracker) for the app. I was involved in designing and animating a number of aspects including character design, rigging and motion graphics. Cel animation was done by my colleague Bill Northcott.

Working with the great people at Summer Studio, I designed and animated an explainer for an A.I. tech start-up. This explainer covered a range of their services using a combination of lush landscapes, icon design and character animation. Each scene was designed to convey complex ideas about data analysis in a straight-forward manner, using their vibrant colour palette.

These animations were created for a U.S. television pilot while working at KAPWA Studioworks. The show was a comedic look at the colonial era of U.S. history so we decided to give it an irreverent take on Pilgrims, Native Americans, the Founding Fathers and so on.
I was lucky enough to be able to design most of the characters and weapons along with additional assets seen below. I also rigged and animated our characters with hold frames to make them feel like puppets in a diorama.

NOKIA - Loading Screen
While working at KAPWA Studioworks, I designed a range of concepts for Nokia's new loading screen. I was lucky enough to be able to be involved with the process from initial iterations to the final animation, under direction from Robertino Zambrano.
Starting with the idea of infinity, we developed a range of different directions, taking inspiration from constellations, geometric patterns and even Celtic knots before honing in on the final design.
Below are a set of sketches and gifs that cover the process of developing the final loading screen as well as iterations from other directions.
A series of videos for the Sydney Opera House to promote the Festival of Dangerous Ideas. Each episode tackles the interplay between safe and dangerous ideas throughout time. Taking the brand of the FODI and breaking it down to create some handdrawn elements was a tonne of fun.

An animated explainer I created for a blood diagnostics startup. Unfortunately, the direction of the company changed and this final version was never used.
